What is the better to learn? VB6 or VB.NET?

Hi all

a started learning vb. I learned the basics of vb
now i want to learn little advanced versions in vb
some people suggesting vb 6 and some suggests vb.net will be best

which one shall i start to learn

plz suggest me an idea
it will be much helpfull for me

I'd suggest that VB.Net makes much more sense. While I still love VB6, it's over a decade old and not really supported by Microsoft any more. VB.Net is the newer version created to work with the .Net framework.

Also, you can download a free trial version of VB.Net. I don't have a link, but go to microsoft.com and you should be able to find it.

VB.Net is the best option! As you are already familiar with VB, it will be easier to you to learn VB.Net. And also you can learn the .Net properly!

Good question. If you get any good responses to this, I may make use of them. It's about time I caught up to the 90's and learned VB.Net.
