VB6 integer array

Does an empty integer array has a value of zero?

User needs to input a number for the process ID, no two process id can be the same. But when I input "0" as the process ID and compares it to each array element, program says there's already a "0" process ID. How can I make the program differentiate an empty array to the one containing the value "0"?

Yes an empty array has 0 in all records.
At startup you can enter the value "-1" in all records and consider this as empty.
If you want to clear a record, enter the value -1.
