How to fix object not found error when concatenate 2 strings using &

I am on windows 7 developing an application in visual basic 2006
when I try and concatenate 2 strings using & - I get object not found ?
have a got a reference missing if so can anyone please tell me what ?

Are the strings from a textbox?
Is the name of the textboxes OK?

Is it possible to attach your code in Bytes?
