crystal report from access

in order to run my crystal report i hav to convert my sql table to acess table
and convert one of its fields in design view from memo to text as we all know text fields only holds maximum 255 characters remaining characters are lost

kindly help me to over come this problem which data type should i convert from memo such that no data is lost and my crystal report should also run

If you do indeed mean you are converting to an Access table there should be no problem with conversion of your memo field as Access also has a memo field type for large-scale character strings of up to 64k characters.

I'm surprised you have to convert anything at all, as Access can link directly to SQL Server and other back-end database tables using suitable ODBC drivers.

after exporting my table from sql to access my crystal report doesnot run..
crystal report not run with acess table with memo field
i hav to again convert memo field to text field
