Is it possible to write a VB program to send SMS?

Hello,
Is it possible to write a program in VB in which we can send SMS to mobiles. I'm having Internet Connection.

Application contains
1. Text Box: txtmsg : For typing message
2. Text Box: txtnumber : Receiver Number
3. Command cmdSend : TO send message

you need some third party component and connect to SMS gateway for all that.

Some times these SMS servers and Gateways dosnt work so there is another way to send sms but using your mobile phone or a GSM modem.

Connect your Phone to a serial port and use com control to send sms but in this case it will not free you ll be charged for the sms by service provider.
