Cause Validation & Auto Redraw properties

What for 'Cause Validation' property is used in VB6.0?Whether this is made true or false i couldnt notice any difference..can u explain with an example pls..?
I hav a similar difficulty with 'Auto Redraw' property..
i want to become a vb expert,for that i need to understand basic concepts better..
