Ping and IP listed in an MS Access table?

P: 1
Hi, not a newbie when it comes to access but very rusty with VB.
Basicly what im trying to do is have a button, that when pressed, will open command prompt, and ping an ip address selected in a table/query.

I can get this to work in part, either by creating a macro and using the runap macro to open cmd. then passing on text. but id have to create a macro for each workstation. Also i have managed to do the same thing with VB, but im having trouble linking the name of the PC from the table to the script or macro.

could any one help with this? sorry if its a bit confusing. but thanks in advance.
