You have a few options:

1. Use a USB to Serial adapter and program to the serial port
2. Purchase a USB IO library from some place like: http://www.thesycon.de/eng/usbio.shtml which is very expensive, but should provide everything you need.
3. Learn to write your own device driver

AKAIK USB is nothing so simple like the serial port used to be - it's a very different technology. Sadly it lacks many aspects the serial world supported - including very long distances (as in RS 422 serial which can go up to 10-thousand feet).

And no - I won't post this directly to your email - that's not the point of this forum. This is here so everyone can benefit from the Q&A. If you don't check back - then you will simply not get what you are looking for.
