I want to do this programatically not manually. When my explorer will installed on any machine it will set itself automatically as default explorer..

No thanx now because i have searched the registry a bit and found that there is a registry setting which stores the path of shell application.
this is the registry....
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell

You can set any application as default shell by modifying this registry..

OK Ali......
This sounds Really Helpfull

However do you know whether the application can be changed according to user?
Also in a previous post you said about security and web settings?
How have these been effected
EDIT: I suppose in your new explorer you could always add an option, to run the normal explorer program.

Obviously there must be an option for restortion of previous/default explorer. I think you want some details of security and web settings..... AS i say this explorer is very different from default explorer in security and visuals. Security means security from viruses and spys.Nowdays the most common viruses are registry viruses and spread through messenger and removeable media. This explorer has a builtin security centre which scans as in vista when some removeable media is inserted, and deactivate + remove any virus if present in it. It checks if their is any exe file having some attachment/embedded file it will block that exe. Will not allow user to run those files which are not trusted. You can control the explorer even through your voice. I like this feature the most. in web settings my web scanner will check if the webpage you are trying to open is used for phishing or any script which is automatically downloaded to your computer it will block that site till user trust the site. Monitoring of internet events, porn blockers, movie blockers, music blockers, flash blockers.... etc etc.

These are the main features for what actually i want to build this shell....
ARUZ DESK this is the name of my shell app.

I dont understand what do you mean by this " However do you know whether the application can be changed according to user?"

Users has their own explorer settings but not their own explorer. By the way my explorer will provide double security for users... ITs like a complete OS control system... Its a multi user app as well..
