how we read special characters like ", " from vb

i want to make a program on searching which works fine but when the special characters came like ", it is not seaching these characters

please give some idea

Have you tried working around acsii values of the characteres ?

Because all characters have ASCII

I went looking to see if anything could be found on Character Map, in Windows... could not find anything.

I was thinking perhaps if we could tell VB to search Character Map and compare ALL characters against certain fields in our application, VB would try to find a match, say in this case in Text1.Text textbox, search would be valid since is likely to be found in the Character Map in Windows. Someone has probably already tried this, sounds doable!

Other than that I got nothing, but good luck with the project; do let us know how you made out, sounds fetching... might be helpful to others passing through;-)
