Extracting Files

P: 153
Hi, I am new to Vb so please bear with me.

I have an exe file that links to a access file and obviously the access file path has to be what it is in vb. How do programmers usually maintain this to be the case if the user downloads files from a zip?

Obviously, I wouldn't know what folders the user has So I would probably have to have access file somewhere like "C:\test.mdb.

Any ideas?

You need to use App.path & "\databasefile.mdb"

and don't forget to store the file in the path of the exe itself.
