Hide and Restore third party applications from the Taskbar

P: 1
Hi,
This is something I having been looking for help for awhile now. and found bits and pieces that kinda work, but really dont.

what I am building is a project that will Hide a command window from the taskbar on the click of a button, and restore it on another button click.

I found this artical: http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread382333.html
and using the SW_Hide I am able to hide my CMD window. However, I can not restore the window back to the taskbar. I thought it may have been a cmd window thing, so I tried it with a firefox window and I had the same issue.

So, My Question is:
How do I restore a hidden window to the taskbar?
