Data Connection

Hi everyone!

Can any one please help me?

I am using VB 6, Win XP and Off 2002 (Access) in my project.

Tell me the code how to connect the database and where!
'Coz I have several forms, a Splash screen and a Login screen.

Where could I open the database so that the connection is open until the project is closed?
What reference could I give?
Also, if I upgrade to Off 2003, what makes me problem? Or else, the reference would be automatically upgraded.

Please help me ASAP!

Have you ever read about Remote Data Objects, Data Access Objects or Active X data objects, I think if you read about that , it will be helpful .Make a decision and write code , when you get stranded , we will be there to help

You need to go through the basics of Vb first . And before asking for the code , you need to post the code tried by you.

Sorry Sir,

What I actually mean is that for better performance of the project, where should I place the code? Whether in the General Module or Login form or to close the connection for each form and open in the other ?

ThanQ for replying...

You need to open the connection only once globally and close the connetion when you close the application not any perticular module.
