Dynamic query in MS-Access

hi friends,

i need help in writing dynamic query in MS-Access. my requirement is i will enter an employee id in one text box and click a button and it should fetch all the details of the employee and fill the remaining text boxes....

i know its a very easy question for many of u but i am poor in this....please help me :).

This is one way to do this. It will store data in a recordset and you can display the information in various fields.



Public Conn As ADODB.Connection
DIM RS As New ADODB.Recordset

Set Conn = New ADODB.Connection
Conn.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=.\PATH\DATABASE_NAME.mdb;Persist Security Info=False"


If RS.State = adStateOpen Then Set RS = Nothing

rs.open "select * from TABLE_NAME whereEMPLOYEE_ID=" & TEXT1.TEXT & " ;", Conn, adOpenStatic, adLockOptimistic

then display in various text boxes
TEXT2.TEXT=RS.FIELDS(0)
TEXT3.TEXT=RS.FIELDS(1)
and so on...
