Can anybody give me a sample code?

I think you want to add your serial nos in a datareport using database at back end of your programe.
Is it right?
If yes then tell me i ll send you an example.

But You give me the way to display number in data report from table with auto number field. But when the table doesnt have autonumber field than is there anyway to do this???

Don't think so much the procedure is same i just use autonumber because if i set the No field to number then before entering Serials i have to put some No using AutoNo i have not to enter any No it will Automatically updated.

I just use it for my convience to make a demonstration.
The procedure is same to show any database in a datareport either it is autonumber or a number or Text.

Don't think so much about it.

Datareport has to show the data it doesnot check either the primary key is Autonumber or anyother else.
