ORACLE -ODBC Error

Hai all,
Iam using a package which was developed in VB6 and the backend is oracle8i,at any given time at least 10 to 15 clients are connected to the database server and using the resources,my problem is after 2 are 3 transactions the client got a 'ORACLE-ODBC error' and the application is closed. if i opened the application again the same process was repeated.the databse contains nearly 2 lakhs of records in nearly thirty tables, can any body help me in this matter...

Thanx for response, now there is no problem with ODBC, but it is hanging after 3 or 4 transactions, and one more problem, some times a msg "Table or view does not exists" was appearing when iam saving my work. it is happening only some times, what should be the exact reason. please...

Please check for proper network connection with the server. It never happens that the problem will appear some times and get solved by its own.
