VB Digits Help

Hello, i'm new to this forum sitting in my Grade 11 Visual Basic class. I'm working on an application that seperates a two digit number and displays each digit seperately. I need help figuring out how to seperate these numbers and display them in two different labels. I realise this isnt a significant project, but its school work and i cant figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.
