making datareport using SQL SERVER provider

hi everybody...I have to make a datareport in VB6 but the problem is when i have a parent/child commands there is no details even the labels are not appearing inside the report in detail section.....but when i use access as a database and Jet 4.0 as a provider and also im using parent/child commands the fields are appearing inside the detail section when i previewed it....but i have to use MS SQL instead of Access and i have to use SQL Server as A Provider....How can i Make it Appear in my report with parent and child commands inside the detail section...Pictures and codes if needed is a lot of help for me and also a step by step instruction....tnx!

Can you accurately query MS SQL to add data to your VB form fields?

If you can push a button and you get data in your GUI from your MS SQL server, you're off to a good start:

If the above is true, please add Adodc1, or DatarReport, or Data Environment to search terms, above right of your screen, and let her rip. I'll just bet you can find some descent examples that you can use to get the data gathered from MS SQL to your GUI to a report.

Please write if you need more assitance, and good luck with the project!

thanks i will try it! I will write if there's still a problem! i don't know if this will work but i have to show 13 tables in my datareport to complete my datareport...i t means 1 parent and 13 children commands...can u help me..?plzzzz....ynx a lot!
