VB with Taskbar

P: 49
Hi to all,

Here I am having a doubt. Is it possible to control the taskbar properties by using VB 6. My question is I want to hide the taskbar while running the Visual Basic at run time. Is it possible ? If so then please give me a small example.

Thank you to all,
Bye

Hello. Do you mean you want to hide the little button which appears in the taskbar for your program when it runs, which by default has the VB6 icon and says "Form1" or such?
If so, then yes, you can hide it.
E.g. If the form's called Form1, do this:
Form1.ShowInTaskbar = False
...and similarly, set it to True again to make it re-appear.

If you mean you want to make the entire taskbar disappear, you'll probably need some more complex 'API calls', which I'm afraid I won't be able to help you with.
(Someone else may be able to though ;) )

Hi
If u want to do something like that in runtime ur form will appear on whole screen then instead of using API commads use splash screen.Set its windowstate to maximize it will appear on whole screen and taskbar will disappear.
Try this.

Of course, your example would only work properly on displays set to 1024x768. ^-'

Thank you for ur reply.

If I run a splash screen, by using ALT + TAB I can shift to other Application. But I don't want to move. i.e. I want to disable the ALT+TAB functions at VB Runtime.
