I'm fairly new to using visual basic, but I have created a simplistic database system in Access that links to a form I created in VB. All I did was create my database, went to tools, then database converter, then Access 97. Then I inserted an MSFlexGrid in VB and a data control and made the data source (in the properties) equal to data1.

Then, I added the following code to my form to indicate where the data would be placed in Access:

Data1.DatabaseName = App.Path & "\YourDatabaseNameGoesHere.mdb"
Data1.RecordSource = "select * from AFieldInYourTable order by AFieldInYourTable"

Good luck with it. If you have further questions I went to this website, http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~saul/vb_examples/tutorial2/index.html, for help with databases and the MSFlexGrid. Simple, but effective.
