display table

hello friends,

i am using vb6.
and i use ms access as my data source.

i have a form and there are two buttons in that
1. "save"
2. close

my requirement is
i have to show a table data on the form. the user can add new rows if he wants.
if he clicks save then the data is stored in the database else if he clicks cancel the data is not stored even though he makes any changes in the form table data.
if i use datagrid control, then it displays table nicely, but when i change some data in it and close that form the data saves the changes to database.

i want it such that it enables changes but the changes should be applied to database only if he clicks save.

how can i do this?

or did i choose wrong control?

1. better use Textbox control and MSFlexGid
2. Enter the value in textbox.
3. write query for save in command button save.
4. Clear the text control values.
5. refresh the grid using select query from the database.

For Delete or Update
----------------
6. fill the text box controls by clicking the grid.
7. Change the value in the textbox (But there should be one ID key to identify
the record).
8. Do Update or delete operation with command buttons.

can you explain why you want cancel saved data in datbase (Because once if you save you are going to clear every field in front-end).
