Split!!!

I have an array: student(6) and each student (student(0),student(1) etc) contains a list which prints like this:
student(2) =
Class
yr10
yr9
yr11
yr10
yr10
yr11
yr10
yr9
yr11
yr10

I would like to know how to split the list into individual variables, for example class(11) and class(0) would equal "class". Help?

Love,
Candy

You may also declare CLASS an ARRAY... In that way, Student array and Class array would share the same index

Personally, I'd like to see a better explanation of the question. I just didn't get it.
