Hello everyone. I'm making a chatting program to share with my friends and to prove to a friend it can be done on visual basic. Unfortunately, I want the application to upload the text files generated in the chatting process but I can't upload them to my website since (while debugging) it tells me that I must include a file name in the uploading path. Example, (this one is how I want it to be) the text file is C:\text.txt and I want to upload it to www.mydomain.com/messages/ , (this one is how vb ask me and I don't want my application to do) but the application tells me that it should be uploaded like this: www.mydomain.com/messages/text.txt. So, I don't want it to do it as such because more than one message is going to be sent at once and that would make some of the messages lost. If you have an answer, can you help me?
Also, I would like to know if you could help me on the issue below:
There's another issue really hard to solve by me right now. It is the "403: Forbidden" messages I'm receiving when my project tries to download the updates I made. What's strange is, before the error started to happen, my project did download the updates without trouble (all updates were in .zip format). So, to try to solve this error I changed the compression from .zip to a self-extracted format (.exe). Still, the problem continues and I don't have enough background as to understand how this problem behaves. What I mean is I can't diagnose the situation and think of a way to avoid the error. And yet, the project can still download simple text files.
My language is Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition
I'm running Windows XP SP2
Thanks for your time.
