VBSCRIPT with .xls exception fields???

I have several fields that I need to get from an .xls that have a number that begins with 0 and slo some that have a ' in them somewhere.

When I open the recordest with a select statement, the fields that have the problems return nothing and then mess up my INSERT later.
How can I capture the actual values to use??

Thanks
