hi all, i need help connecting to access database and taking input from text fields.
You probably should have a look around for tutorials on the subject. Try searching the web for things like "VB DATABASE TUTORIAL". There are lots of good VB tutorials out there.

We are more geared toward helping when developers run into a problem in their code, rather than getting people started from scratch. Sorry.

I'm hoping to have a basic (no pun intended) article posted here soon on "how to connect to a database using VB", but you're a bit early.

(Note, database connection from VB is rather a weak area of mine, otherwise I would try to answer your question.)
