Take success as your Knowledge and failure as your Experience in any field then you will be expert in that field.

Good luck

I think the only way is to keep reading everything you can, and keep playing with it to gain experience.

Away i found really helped. I started out a month ago. A great way is to just make things without tutorials. For eg. I made a program which is a html editor. It was hard for me at the time but know ive learnt how to do it and its really easy to use all comands i needed. (The html editor has colour and added in scripts and stuff). Also im only a kid who has to go to school and gets loads of homework and no old enough to do computers at school yet. So if i can do it you can

That’s really interesting.

But tutorials are for basic beginners.

Just having a basj at it yourself is also a fun way to get going. Different approaches work for different people. Some need structured lessons, some prefer to play around with it on their own, and so on.

If i was you i would read a tutorial to get started learning all the basics. Then start making your own thing and if you get in trouble just search google and if cant find anything ask on this site. I am always happy to answer questions (Trying to get to expert)

Like killer said people learn differnently.

Always happy to help

Interestingly, I've found I have been learning a lot by reading (and trying to answer) the posts here at TheScripts. Although I have been using VB for many years, I've mostly just been dabbling in my spare time. Now, at TheScripts, I'm coming across things I never knew VB could do.

So hanging out here can also be a boost to learning, though it may not be the best way to start. Plus, after a while you'll start seeing people asking questions that you've just found the answer to. It's a good feeling to be able to pass it along. That's why so many people hang out in forums like this.

I have been using VB for...6 years... I am not an "expert" I would say I am very knowledgeable of the language and what it can do but I still have so much to learn. Even more so now that the .NET framework is around. My friend and I started at the same time and we learned by reading a book then asking the greatest question "I wonder if we could ..." that is usually when we scared people. We wrote programs that remote controlled computers, AI to play games for us, Encryption algorithms, A program that allowed us to access the file system of a remote cokmputer and upload/ download/ delete and even remote execute, 2d game engine (it sucked btw lol), a chat client/ server, A program thak locked a user out of their windwos compute (alt+F4, ctrl+alt+del, win key all disabled to get it it required a floppy to be in the drive with a file on it that allowed acces to a Login screen where you had to enter a series of 5 password 15 characters long cAsEsEnSiTiVe oh and it had numbers and symbols) the purpose was to annoy our networking teacher....one of the assignments was he broke aour computer and we had to fix...well if he could not get in to the computer he just wiped the drive lol anyway the point is don't give up, push yourself to do things you only see in movies...keep it legal plz, and above all HAVE FUN!!!!

So you have to set progress in your mind for
1. I want to know
2. I know
3. its known

This three will come if you have some knowledge and interest.
Then you are expert things whatever you know
