I cannot get VB 2005 Xpress installed from the MS site. As soon as it starts to download the program files (after selecting the Program File path), it hangs with the screen saying fail to download. Clicking on the troubleshoot button pops up the script 'Express SKU Troubleshooting' page on the net browser. This page tells you to check for BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) which I did. I even re-loaded the current BITS from the link provided. But the VB install continues to hang. Any suggestion is appreciated.
Hiya, Engw!
If it seems to be hanging and does not give you an error, do control - alt - delete, look up the task manager's processes, see if vb is running, the percentile below should shift - to + if vb is running. This is a large software and will take 'bout an hour to load, I think. Hope this helps!
