VB with Access

Hi to all,

I am new to the VB. I am trying to get the serial no based on date. i.e. like 70600001. In this 7 is the Year from 07 by using round function, 06 is the month form the date & 00001 is the serial no. but by using code I am getting 7061. But I want in the 70600001 format. Please help me in this concept.
It should continue for further incrementing.

Thank you,
Jayachandra

Hi,
you can use the format function: format(serial_no,"00000") and I think your problem is solved. Please try it.

Can't get ur problem properly, whether a prob. with creating a coded s.no. or having a prob. at retrieval.
Seems simple at first site.
