excel automation not refer to an ms application

Need help, please!
In an excel vba automation, I refer to the visio, but there is no visio install on other computer, and that automation won't work. Is there a way to not refer the visio when there is no visio applicaiton installed, but refer it when it is installed?
thanks,

Don't be too impatient. You're dealing with a public forum where people pop in to help when they find the time, and live in different timezones around the world. It can sometimes take a day or three to get a response.

Personally, I would guess that you simply can't use Visio unless it's installed. But perhaps there is a "Visio viewer" similar to the Powerpoint viewer, or something.

However, keep in mind I'm not expert in that area and may be overlooking something obvious.

P.S. I deleted your earlier "hurry up" message, because a lot of the time, people will go looking for questions that don't yet have a reply. Now that this one does, they might miss it. (That's also why I didn't bother to reply, since I didn't have a definite answer for you.)

ok, what i mean is in my code have some codes like "Global vsapp as visio.application", but i won't use it in the computer don't have visio installed. but that come out a "compile error:user-defined type not defined" when i use the other function. So how can i use other functions without delete those "Global vsapp as visio.application"?
thanks

I'm not at all sure you can. Sounds to me as though you might need to create a separate version of the program which doesn't have the Visio inclusions. Like I said though, this ActiveX automation really isn't my area.

Although we normally discourage double-posting, in this case it might be worth creating a new thread to ask your question again, without the "hurry up" messages. That way, people will see from the list that it's a new question still awaiting an answer.
