Nearly finished...can't figure out how to update a label

I'm working on a program that allows the user to in put a task, click add task button, and then the task displays in a list box and disappears from the text box. I have completed all of this...however, the next part I can't figure out how to do. Each time a new task is added to the list box my program needs to update the count which is located within another label called outputLabel. I have tried a few different things but can't get this to update. Another thing making this tricky for me is that the option strict has to be set to on. The text mentions using the Convert.ToString to display the appropriate number of tasks in the outputLabel but I can't figure out how to do this. Here is my code thus far...any pointers on how to get my outputLabel to update would be great! Thanks.

Public Class TaskListForm
' Task List Application
Private Sub addButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal _
e As System.EventArgs) Handles addButton.Click

' declare variables
Dim task As String

' get task
task = taskTextBox.Text
' display task in task list box
tasksListBox.Items.Add(task)
' clear text
taskTextBox.Text = ""

End Sub
End Class ' TaskListForm
