validation for a field on a form to make sure its not duplicated.

2
I have a access database. I have a form that as a field that i need to check to make sure is not been duplicated. Possible validation required? The field data type is number so the user have to input data.Remember the form is taking from a query. Is it possible for me to have a vb code which checks and input the number 1 to 50 automatically for each new record? This breaking down human errors by typing a number that already exist. Do i need a loop?

What is your exact requirement. If I understand you need to check the number that is entered by the User against the numbers that are there in the Database.

its a cd database. Track numbers of a CD should not be duplicated so the cd should not have the same track number. So i need to validate track number so its not duplicated when user is added a new song on a CD. So yes to your question.
