Desperate need of help - fast!!! Treasure Hunt

1
I'm VERY new to VB and have an assignment that seems to jump from simple to complex in one leap. The assignment goes like this: access multiple files, search for a specific string, extract the following string, and list the results in a textbox in order to "find the treasure". I had it where vb would atleast acknowledge the files but it will not work now.
Please help. I've found code all around it and am right on the tip of understanding but just can't seem to get there. Probably because of my very limited understanding. I know it's asking alot, but any help at any step would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much!!!!!
