autonumber generation in datareport

i would like to generate a report in VB using data report where the back end is MS access.In that report i want 2 generate serial number separately where that column is not available in the table

Hi. You will need to store this sequence somewhere. If not in a table, where do you plan to store it?

just that serial number should be displayed in the data report.i dont want 2 store it in table.just for displaying purpose.

Just look-over the Report tools or field explorer there you can find record count number or some thing like that
