Closing VB Application

Hi,
After closing an application in Windows XP, developed using VB and ESRI MapObjects, it continues to show in the tasks list. This also takes considerable memory. Why the process continues to persist after closing the application? How to overcome this? Any one can help me please...

You don't say what version of VB you're using. (And I've never heard of ESRI MapObjects.)

However, in such a case generally the first thing to check is that you are unloading all forms which have been loaded. Classes too, I suppose.
