How to line break..

Since some people don't know how to line break, here's your answer.

msgbox "Prompt" & vbCrlF & "Another line's prompt", vBInformation, "Title"

If you want more than one line break:

msgbox "Prompt" & vbCrlF & vbCrlF & "Two lines down from prompt", vBInformation, "Title"

Because I googled to see if any other sites knew, and this site had one, but someone was asking the question.

Anyways, peace.

If this was already posted, don't flame because I just registered here like 5 minutes ago.

Thanks for that, it's always useful to have stuff actually posted where it can be found in a search.

One thing, though - as a general rule I would recommend using vbNewLine rather than vbCrLf, simply because it's more obvious to a newbie what it means. I don't know that there's really any difference, otherwise.

I think Sabbirht pointing out \n as a newline for C++. It also the same as endl but I think it depends upon what compiler are you using : )

Not a good habit to get into. The "normal" delimiter for lines of text in DOS and Windows is actually the two character combination of CR (Carriage Return, character 13) and LF (Line Feed, character 10). In other words, Chr(13) & Chr(10). The built-in constant vbCrLf contains exactly that. So does vbNewLine.

You may not encounter any problems using just the linefeed, but some day you may find that you've written stuff to a text file and have trouble making sense of the file. Because while some software can correctly interpret the LF character as a line delimiter, some can't. (This often causes problem with files accepted from a different environment, such as Unix, where a different standard is used).
