Can you be a little more specific about what you actually want your program to do? And what part you don't understand?

As it stands, I could easily answer your question by saying "Use IF statements".

the system i'm developed is called diet system, which help user to take note of their food taken, exercise and activity (these 3 element link together to make a good diet)

what i have learn, rule based is not just using the "IF statement" but must include one element called "Initial memory". I'm actually didn't know what that "Initial memory" and how to implement it in VB. Do i have to use module to includes them? thnx anyway for the respond

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with the rules-based concept, or the term "initial memory".

However, it sounds to me as though your problem is not how to do this in VB, but how to generally analyse your rule-based system and work out how you want to embody it in the structure of a computer application. This may require a lot of thought, to boil it down to a "recipe". Once you do, then it's a relatively simple matter to translate the recipe into VB.

Or to put it another way, before we can help you with the technical details of how to do it, I think you need to develop a much clearer view of exactly what you want to do.
