HELP with .net 2003 window app using VB6 to FTP to Unix server

3
I have a need to write VB6 codes to upload file to a Unix server. The existing project is a window application written in VB6 using Studio .Net 2003.

I searched the Net to find some answer but got none. I am told that .Net 2003 does not support FTP, but I am hoping some VB genious out there found a way to work around it and can share the code with me.

Thank You!

I am confused. Doesn't Visual Studio.Net 2003 use its own version of VB? what exactly does it mean to say that an application is "written in VB6 using Studio .Net 2003"?

It's a window application and not a web application. I found most references on the net for FTP has to do with web application and not window application which is what I am needing help with.

Hello all,

In case anyone is interested how I solved my problem. Using Visual Studio 6, I wrote a classic VB6 to do FTP. This code use a text file that contains all FTP commands needed (server name, login id, pswd, input file, output file....etc). Then I created an executable for it. This executable can be called by other VB codes.

Using Visual Studio .Net 2003, in my VB.net code, I used the SHELL function to call the FTP executable module to transfer my file.
