Retrive MAC-ID in Visual Basic 2005

Hi all,
I have a button and a text box in a form.On the button Click the MAC-ID of the system must be generated and should be displayed in a text box.What is the neccessary coding for this.All this has to be done in VISUAL BASIC 2005 without using WMI.

Please help me in this regard as it will be more helpful for my project completion
