i need a vb application

hello, a friend of mine asked me to look for a visual basic application she needs in school, something simple (e.g. you have some numbers, representing the marks of some students) and you have to sort them or check if a key is in those numbers). i do not have any knowledge of visual basic if you could post me the source code for a simple working application (not the example given as it is already made by one of my friend's mates :P) i would be very gratefull to you :D.

thnks

P.S. my friend mentioned something that she studies visual basic 6.0

hi,
i' m sorry i wasn't too specific with the details but not even I know what kind of application she needs, a "simple multi-file interface user application" was the only detail given to me. I was thinking of something to manage the employees from a (very small :d ) company. An employee should have attributes such as: name, salary, department where he works and the number of hours worked by day and the application to order the employees according to their name/salary, to print the average salary, the maximum and the lowest, to print for each employee the number of hours, calculate the salary according to the number of hours worked (supposing the payment is made by hours) or something like it (note: the should be able to do some of the examples given not all of them, it has to be something easy).
thnks

Don't post your e-mail address here in the forum, you may soon be flooded with spam. Many spammers scan places like this looking for addresses.

If you want someone to e-mail you, the two most common options I've seen used here would be:
  • Write your address in a way that another person can interpret, but that would be difficult for an automated process to recognise. For example firstname.lastname at mydomain dot com
  • Go to the "Control Panel" link at the top of the page in TheScripts, record your e-mail address in your options, and set the option to allow members to send you messages via e-mail. That way people here can e-mail you, without revealing your address to software which might scan the messages here.

i have a yahoo.com e-mail address with "dausyana" as ID :D. As regards the program I don't need a database to store the data, the employees will be ver well stored in a dynamic array, if there's any array in VB, something like:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Public Name() As String
I've tried to make by myself a small program. but i'm having problems with linking the forms togheter (I'm using VB 6.0). It gives me a lot of errors such as object 'could not be found' or something like it, then i don't really have ideea how to place those text areas and labels so that my arrays would take their data from them. That's why I was asking for am already made-and-working smple program, so that I would be spared of all the documentation reading and building visual aplications work :D .

thanks all

Hi, are trying to make number forms , i mean 1 form per employee?,
if you do, may be you could use this in sub load:

let your very first form be (0) just in your mind...
type this code in form0( this is just a temporary name of the form)
dim 1 as nerw form2
form1.show
me.hide( it's optional if you want to access the second form and "leave" or "hide" the first one,
i hope this could hepl you with your problem..
