Dear friends,
I'm a newbie and only know some basic of VB. I had some questions, which might sounds stupid, but I need to know the answer, desperately... ...
I also had some post in "Ethernet through VB" because ADSL is using an ethernet. Well, I guess I just open a discussion ^^.
First of all, I know an ADSL is unable to fax because ADSL is not design to communicate in PSTN. It is just a multiplexer to switch between PSTN and upstream downstream. But since ADSL is using a same phone line, it might have a chance to fax. And of course, questions occur... ...
1) I heard that there is a way to "dial" a number by using "email", but I have no idea how "email" "dial" a number. If I can "dial", then I will able to fax, theoretically ... ...
2) Since ADSL (hardware) is not design to communicate to PSTN, can it be done ONLY by VB? Or I need to modify the ADSL?
3) If there is a program that can allow me to fax, does the program need to download to the ADSL? Or it just remain in the computer?
Thank you
