Excel and VB 6

Not sure where I should post this one.
I am trying to take data collected from a query that is ran in access and place it in an excel spread sheet using vb 6 to do it. I know how to pass the data, but not sure how to tell vb to place the data on the next available row in the excel spreadsheet? The spreadsheet must contain information for 12 months of history. This is a requirement by the Air Force. They will not allow us to use Access for the history table so I am kinda stuck on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update. I have just found out from my supervisor we can store the data in Access, since it is already there from a previous app, they just want to be able to populate the spreadsheet which has column headers with the data from my query I created.
