Textbox Entry that Filters Combobox display

P: 13
How do I get text entered in a textbox, limit the info desplayed in the drop down portion of the textbox?

I have a form that displays addresses linked to an Access database.

If I only want to see the addresses from a certain city, i would like to either enter into a textbox the name of a city or select it from another combobox. Either way is fine by me,

Any suggestions how to do this.
I am very new at VB and am using VB express 2005.

thanks,
Greg

hello friend!

i dont get what you mean...
but from what i understood, you dont want to get all the name of cities in the database??

i think you have to change the SQL...
ex:
rs.open "select * from dbase_table where city like ' " & textbox_name & ' ", dbconn, 3 ,3

"rs" is the recordset
i hope this helps!
