About the not very good Record set

hi everyone.
i hope one of u may help me.
i want just .......how to get the specified record in the record set?
i mean to say i have a database which contains a lot of entry per day, whole year.....
i want the records of a specified date. for exapmle i want the whole entries of the date which i am giving from a text box......

plz any one wright full code for it...... with bit of explanation.
