VB Code: Storing Value In Variable..... Replacing Part With Other Variable (more)

1
Hey... I have a q'n about a Vb script...
Okay.. here is essentially what I want to do...
(this is my code so far)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Private Sub Command1_Click()
Open "list.html" For Output As 1
Print #1, " slideMenu.makeMenu('sub2_1','"; namebox1.Text; "','"; urlbox1.Text; "','_blank')"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(note... the top code works with my java)
Ok... what I need it to do.. is when I put a value into the "urlbox1.Text" text box... I need it to be able to read the value... replace parts of the value with other values
So as an example lets say I typed in the text box
"http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=thescripts&btnG=Google+Search&meta= "
I would want it to find the value "http://www.google.com/" and replace it with ummm I dunno.. "http://www.yahoo.com/"
I think this is achievable with variables?.. but I dont know enough about them...
sooo my questions are
1) Is there actually a way to do this!?
and
2) Can I do it effectively.. so I dont have to look through every code I enter

Thx for any help.. Im experienced slightly in vb (at least above the n00b rating) but web editing is my main strength...
I know this is a bit specialist.. but any help would be much appreciated... thx!
