To get a installed software in a client machine

Hi All,
i need to get a list of installed softwares in a pc from a button click how can it be done.

i guess you have to click some more actually... what do you mean ???


you can search the file sysoc.inf and replace every "hide" with a space... but i don't think that's with XP/2003

Use WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation), do a little research on google.com for further reading & understanding, hope it helps. Good luck & take care.

I am unable to get you since i am new to vb the requirement is.
I have a form which has a button , on the button click it should access the system registry to get a list of available software installed on the machine.
can you please help me out since i have tried a lot of google search and i am unable to find information of what i need.

Typing Windows Management Instrumentation into google gives me 1,960,000 pages of info. You must be a fast reader :)
