DataGrid vs. DataGridView?

hi guys-

i'm a student at a university [lols] and right now i'm working on a culmulative project for my adv. vis basic class. i have a lot of programming background so i'm cool with concepts and all that jazz, but the class is taught for vb 2003 and i managed to get my hands on a copy of vb2005 that i don't wanna give up without a fight.however, all of the code that was given to us for the project is for 2003, and 2005 doesn't even HAVE a data grid control. the class is still there but the control isn't, and i can't get the database to work right with datagridview. any help, at all?

thanks!
