Plz giv little bit more details
whether u want that picturebox should stay at its position and image should mean like scrolling an image(that is a requirement in case u hav small picturebox but large picture) OR u dont have any problem in moving a picturebox?

Allow me to add another question - do you mean you want to move the whole image (as in scrolling), or do you want to move a smaller image around on a larger image (like an animated figure, for example)?

If you want to move the entire picture, you can just move the picturebox around by using the .Move method, or changing the top/left properties (remember, you can move to locations lower than zero). If you want it to move within a visibly bounded area (a frame, say) then just place it inside another picturebox.

It's also possible to use a similar technique (nested picturebox or image control) to move something around within another picture, but it may not be the best method.

Oh, one more thing - what version of VB?
