Creating own file format

1
Hi, I am new to visual basic, but I know how to write algorithms in general. I need to create my own file format for a project that I am doing. I have each one of the blocks that I need to put in the file and I have the byte order for each block. What I need to know is how to start putting that into VB code. Someone told me that this would be a good language to create the file format.

Thanks to anybody that can help me.

You are probably looking at using either Binary or Random mode. Try checking the online help for the Open statement, or File Access.
