Need info on creating a simple data table in VB6

Hi,

I am doing some file parsing and am currently using arrays to hold data for various elements of the file and it's getting rather cumbersome. I thought it might be more organized if, rather than use arrays, I created a little database within the VB6 program to hold the fields and their data. I'm not sure what exists within VB6 as I've never ventured into this territory before.

Is there a built in method for developing such a data table and would it be visual, for the purposes of easy construction, or would it be all code.

Thanks!

You need to implement your database using Microsoft Access or some other RDBMS. VB6 will give you the tools to interface with the database. This is one of the more difficult things to learn in programming and not something you will become expert at in a week.

Thanks for your answer. I have been needing to learn some SQL and ODBC stuff for quite a while and maybe this is the time to do it.
