There was a very very very simple book called "Black art of Visual Basic game programming" by Mark Pruett, It was for VB 4.0, or earlier, i dont remember, but i learned some of the basic things from there. You can buy it used for less than a couple of dollars, just make sure it has the examples CD... or not, i dont think it will run in a 100% on VB6, since its for a quite older version.
